Simplicity

Recently a lot of people have asked me what Iraq is like. I've reduced it as best I can to this:

Iraq - Hot. Sand. Some people want to kill you. Some people don't.

Twelve words say it all. Right up there with the origin of the universe!

That is the same description I got when I asked my son to describe the sandbox. He, too, is with the 2/2SCR.

You have changed my definition of "hot" Brian and I were out walking on Saturday in South Carolina, thinking that the 80 degree sun was feeling a bit warm... I said never again will I complain I am hot... Brian said he was just thinking the same thing.... add 50% to the temperature, full uniform, gear and 20 lbs of body armor ....

I can't imagine ....

I love you and miss you and can not tell you how happy I was to talk to you on Friday!!

You've it all right except it's closer to 40 lbs of body armor! My shirt is usually soaked with sweat after missions!

Minus the sand, it sounds like a typical day in corporate America :)
